Membracidae, nymph - Enchenopa latipes

Membracidae, nymph - Enchenopa latipes
Mike's Road Ditch Prairie, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
June 12, 2015
looks like Campylenchia but that is not the adult species on the plant

barely visable, the nymph is on the RH side, nestled in junction of the 2 leaf veins, above the 2 adult hoppers with ants

wet prairie remnant road ditch with lots of Compass Plants, Silphium laciniatum

Moved
Moved from nymphs and exuviae.

Moved
Moved from Treehoppers.

Well
the nymph is C. latipes. Multiple species can use the same plant.

Thank you.
