Please don't make new pages
and delete old ones. Everything on BugGuide.net is editable. All we had to do was change the name of the old page. Now all the links to the old page on BugGuide and elsewhere on the web are broken. We know we sound like a broken record, but if the changes you are about to make will require you to delete a page, stop. We don't want to delete pages. We are actually hoping that in BugGuide 2.0 the delete button will be removed so folks will know that they don't have that option. We'll write John VanDyk and see if he can make a redirect from the old links to this new page, but don't know if he can do that once the page has been deleted.
Edit: John was able to make the redirect, so clicking on Leptura propinqua in your comment now takes you to the new page rather than the blank screen.

Thanks Everyone
I cruised the lepturines but then Francesco was able to come by & take a look. I think that narrows it down. Thanks.

looks to us more like
a long horned beetle in the Cerambycidae, probably one of the Lepturines

Leptura propinqua
Exactly!
It's a beautiful specimen of
Leptura propinqua
Bland, 1865.
This species is widespread in the West.

Flower longhorn, seconded.
Sorry I can't take it any farther, but these can be quite tough.
