Size: 1 mm
This tiny arthropod was living in nesting material made of saw palmetto fibers. Other arthropods living in the fibers included many species of bark lice, springtails, and mites. This unknown arthropod is covered with setae and has a very distinctive head, as shown in the third image (a close-up).

It is a Cecidomyiidae larva.
