The present paper contains a large number of miscellaneous studies which have been made in the taxonomy of the weevils of the tribe Rhynchitini, family Attelabidae, and of the family Brachyrhinidae. The paper includes fixations of the types of all of the North American genera in these two groups and also descriptions of 4 new genera, 2 new subgenera, 24 new species, and 9 new varieties.
