Is this Promachus hinei? - Efferia aestuans - Female
Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, USA
July 11, 2016
Found at White Rock lake, Sunset Bay area in the morning. Looks like female Promachus hinei but it seemed too small for that. I'll attach 3 more shots of this individual.

Moved from Robber Flies.

Yes, that image is showing a little more wing. This adds the month of July for Texas!

Female - Efferia aestuans
She has one of the longest ovipositors of them all. Also, the wing veins seem to check out for the Nerax group.
ID qualities = tibiae partially reddish, mystax black, (lighter on some) ventral surface of abdomen has long white hairs; female has long blade-like ovipositor
(widespread eastern)

Thank you
I knew it didn't seem quite right for my first guess. This would be a new species for me. I think I have corrected the duplicate photo also, do 4 different photos show up now? I agree with your id.
