About the size of this moth
I believe that you have a mistake regarding the size of this moth. If you consider that 1.1 cm is about half the size of a penny, perhaps the correct measurement should be 1.1 inches rather than 1.1 cm. Also, I must say I just found a moth from this species and it was about 1 inch in lenght.
