Many of these at our front door lamp these days - are they Trichoptera species? This photo was taken on the next day after keeping the bug overnight.

Thank you, Ken, for getting it to genus. There are just a few of them for Florida, and none so early in the year for the northern portion, so I leave it there.

Peter - check in with Andy Rasmussen at Florida A&M - he will probably know which species that is. I am fairly sure he has the caddis in that part of he world figured as well as anyone. Have fun.
