Podagrion exit holes in a mantid egg case? - Podagrion

Podagrion exit holes in a mantid egg case? - Podagrion
Rio Rico, Santa Cruz County, Arizona, USA
February 26, 2017
Size: <1 mm diameter
The ootheca was 23 mm long and the exit holes slightly less than 1 mm in diameter
A month ago, I caught two Podagrion sp. wasps at this site. I found 5 other mantid egg cases attached to Baccharis sarothroides at this location. All egg cases had at least a few of these exit holes.

Yes…
Indeed, these are emergence holes of Podagrion. A nice addition for the guide.

See reference here.

Great!
Happy to do what I can for the guide that has given me so much in return.
