Eupithecia - please help us to identify the species. - Eupithecia bolterii
Austin, Travis County, Texas, USA
February 27, 2017

Tentative
Moved from ID Request.

I have seen enough of these worn ones in the last few days to make me more confident of this placement.

Eupithecia
I think yours is Eupithecia bolterii but I am not sure your specimen is marked clearly enough for me to place to species. I saw some last night in Campwood that were similarly marked.

Concur
I just uploaded my first record of this species at home in Austin on iNaturalist, with some notes on how to identify this species. These apparently constitute the first records of the species for Travis County.

Eupithecia bolterii
Thank you, Ann -
