S. atricollaris
I reviewed Blanchard's original description for S. cottami and updated the BG account.
The present moth is likely to be S. atricollaris. Blanchard distinguished cottami--known at the time only from the Chisos Mountains--by its lack of any hint of the thin black crossband between the two dark fascia on the FWs and the lack of a small white dot in the latter streaks where the reniform spot would be.

Distinguishing from S. atricollaris?
So Hal also photographed something very similar in Aug 2017 at the same location which is currently placed as S. atricollaris:

How are atricollaris and cottami distinguished?

Maury - Thanks for clearing this one up. It's been out there in a "probable" state a long time
