Posts for the trading or selling of bugs are considered off-topic on Bugguide except for research purposes. If your purposes are for research, do you mind stating them? Taxonomically and geographically, your request seems pretty broad to be for research; hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

I am a simple amateur french collector who only wants to enlarge his collection.
I have already done 2 exchanges with colleagues from Florida and Wisconsin in 2016 without problem.

We're not saying you shouldn't post exchange requests to enlarge your collection; we're just saying please don't do so on Bugguide, whose forum instructions say: "Off-topic posts ... include, but are not limited to, the following:...The trading or selling of bugs, except for research purposes."

I hope this doesn't deter you from participating in Bugguide, and good luck with your collection!

The phrase "except for research purposes"

therefore permits an amateur or professional BugGuider to initiate an exchange of specimens that fall under some expressed study project in contrast to simply accumulating trophies.
