Palo Verde Root Borer Larva? - Derobrachus hovorei

Palo Verde Root Borer Larva? - Derobrachus hovorei
Tucson, Pima County, Arizona, USA
March 3, 2017
Size: 6-7cm
Found in the roots of one of my palo verde trees when it was aerated. Per the board-certified arborist, it is the larva of a Palo Verde Root Borer. I would appreciate confirmation.
