St. Andrews moth larva on Prunus serotina 2016 3 - Coleophora

brown caterpillar that looks "hooded", yet it is not a swallowtail--these were very small. They were on their anal prolegs much of the time. I was unable to rear them last year. I hope to try again this year.

Could this be C. atromarginat
Could this be C. atromarginata? Are there other likely candidates?

Several "pistol" casebearers are found on rosaceous trees--
I haven't really looked into their host ranges or how to distinguish them, since they're not leafminers. Interestingly, the most trustworthy source for Coleophora only lists atromarginata as feeding on Fagaceae, Juglandaceae, and Betulaceae.
