Eristalis dimidiata - Eristalis saxorum - female

Eristalis dimidiata - Eristalis saxorum - Female
Blountstown, Calhoun County, Florida, USA
March 4, 2017
Size: 12mm
Eristalis dimidiata female I believe. On blooming Walter's Viburnum (Viburnum obovatum). I see this has been called Black-shouldered Drone Fly. This would be new for Florida in March.

Thanks!

I think this is Eristalis sax
I think this is Eristalis saxorum .... female and not dimidiata.
The dark wing cloud mark; the pterostigma is not black and distinct like in dimidiata; the calypters on this specimen are much darker than on dimidiata. It lacks the greyish markings found on dimidiata abdomen.
The upper frons is totally shining black. There is a complete black band on tergite three. Thorax and abdomen have bluish reflections. I have sent it to Martin for a second opinion.
