Dusky Dancer - Argia translata - female

Dusky Dancer - Argia translata - Female
Doddridge County, West Virginia, USA
August 3, 2007
Common Eastern Spreadwing? Interesting behavior, it kept bouncing up and returning to the weed it was on as if it saw me trying to take a picture. It's almost impossible for me to photograph damsels and dragonflies with my camera equipment.

Nicely done
Looks like you managed well on this one. It's a female Dusky Dancer, Argia translata.

Thanks so much Cliff!
I was fairly well pleased with it given my past experiences. I'll move to the guide as it is a female, the only one from WV is a male.
