This one is cropped a bit further, however these images are slightly out of focus so I did not want to crop too far or the edges would blur out.

This is a better crop, but now you don't need the first shot. Next time you can simply select "edit" on the original and browse to the new replacement file, rather than adding a second image of the same view.
I can unlink and frass that one for you, if you like. Otherwise another editor might do this, as a standard practice. (...before I get to it.)

being slightly out of focus isn't that big of a deal... there's a lot of extra space in this picture

Yes. I see your point. But there's just too much distortion if I go any further. I am just learning Canon Digital Photo Pro, and must say that so far I am not impressed with its' editing or organizing capabilities. Seems very awkward. What editor do you recommend.
