Syrphid fly larvae on fennel - Scaeva affinis

Syrphid fly larvae on fennel - Scaeva affinis
Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, USA
April 23, 2016
Size: 15 mm
There were at least five species of Syrphid larvae on our fennel plant last year, but most were impossible to photograph (amazing how quick they can escape). These guys were easier because they were so much bigger than the other species. They're probably larvae of the pied hoverfly (Scaeva pyrastri), right? I caught them chowing down on aphids.

P.S. I have (a lot) more images if needed!
