I'm no expert but I'd say "close but no cigar".
The color is definitely different, mine is brown, and that black one's leg is wide further down the leg toward the foot.
Must be a close relative though...

How do you feel about ?

You can see the tubercles on the pronotum which the guide says are characteristic of this species (Acanthocephala terminalis).

 
That's what I'm going with but
I'd be interested to know more about color variation as many of the other Acanthocephala terminalis images are much darker, almost black.

nice pic...this looks like some sort of leaffooted bug...maybe coreidae... one of the more experienced people shld be able to narrow i down more

It was an omen of sorts. Just when the batteries for my close-up flash went dead (the 2nd set), this rather large opportunity presented itself.

I was in that area but I'm unable to match up the hind legs, white dot on back, orange last segment of antennae, etc.
