Size: 2 mm
This bark louse was living in leaf litter beneath a saw palmetto bush and sand live oak tree. The louse was beginning to develop wings. Color was uniformly white except for purple markings at the tip of the abdomen (visible from both the ventral and dorsal sides), purple-colored markings on the dorsal and ventral surfaces of the head, several rod-shaped, purple-colored markings on the dorsal surface of the first two segments of the thorax. and a few pale purple markings on the legs. The head, legs, abdomen and wings appear to be covered with fine white hairs.
