Size: ~ 8 mm
Came to U/V lights at night. Believe this clicker is in the Genus Aeolus? Confirmation/correction, and further placement would be appreciated.

Moving back to genus level...
the apparently flat scutellum should rule-out A. trilineatus. Perhaps if you sent a pic showing the scutellum laterally better (a quasi-lateral shot) I could confirm.

With regards to going easily on v, he wants me to kick his pygidium... ;-)

Also, I am not 100% sure, but I do not think trilineatus has been recorded outside of TX (that being said, southern AZ and TX share a good amount of fauna...)
