Identification
Adult - forewing yellow with dull red band across terminal area; PM line reddish, with deep jog toward base half-way across wing; AM line almost straight; median area with reddish wash or partial shading, and indistinct discal spot; hindwing color and pattern similar to forewing.

Range
From the Owen Valley of east central California and desert regions of California to western Texas.

Adults fly from April to September in California.
