Phyllophaga - Listrochelus mucoreus
NE end of Algodones Dunes, Imperial County, California, USA
March 18, 2017
Looks very much like our local P. scoparia from Tucson (Range AZ), The habitat was, as in Tucson, Creosote Palo Verde Shrub.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

They are quite plentiful
I do believe it is a May/June beetle. They are everywhere right now. I can't help but step on them on my porch
