Found by sweeping vegetation
Although this is the first time that I come across this beast, from personal communication, I understand that this species is common in Nogales, but I could not find any online images of it except for a wing diagram.

Yes, L. maculata

Great find! This is a new genus and species for bugguide. I've only ever seen one photo of this species prior, from D.B Thomas from TX. The species is associated with Celtis pallida. Wonderful addition to the guide!

I am thrilled whenever I find something new for BG

Specially if it is something poorly illustrated online or a new genus/species to BG like in this case. Celtis pallida is rare in Nogales. I made probably 6 sweeps on Hop Bush (Dodonaea Viscosa) and Mexican Elderberry (Sambucus mexicana) when I found this bug.
