Larvae observed on mature infructescence (seedhead) of Xyris sp. on wetland edge. Similar larvae also observed on Xyris plants in East Haddam, CT in 2013 and Haddam, CT in 2016.

This is the only Coleophora recorded from Xyris, but it is only known from the southeastern US. It would definitely be worth rearing some out.
