Tricorythodes
Hi dvoribird-

I believe this mayfly female imago to be of genus Tricorythodes.

Nothing particularly strange going on here, just a female imago preparing to lay her eggs, hopefully by taking flight to the nearest water, and dropping her eggs on it. The large black sack at the end of her abdomen holds the eggs, which were previously stored within her abdomen.

Oh! Thank you for explaining
Oh! Thank you for explaining this! I couldn't figure out what was going on. Thank you !!
