Harnessed Tiger Moth - Hodges#8169; black spot visible on each side of collar.

do you mean "the collar"??

Patagia
You posed the same question here and I thought that it was answered and also followed by very informative comments by J.D. Roberts. It is the fold of skin behind the head and in front of the wings - in this image it is marked by two very small round black spots.

Thanks Ted
for taking the time to help. Pointing out the spots on collar was a big help.
