Ant and Aphid 6288 - Lasius

Ant and Aphid 6288 - Lasius
Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, USA
March 31, 2007
Found some ants and aphids under a log. Found examples of both Acanthomyops and Lasius that were similar to the ant. Any clue on the aphids?

Moved to Subgenus Acanthomyops
Moved from Ants.

Moving to Subgenus Acanthomyops. Although it contradicts the comments below, it seems to be the closest grouping available.

acanthomyops is now lasius claviger group
and that is what this is

Lasius claviger?
When you say "acanthomyops is now lasius claviger group" do you mean it is in the new Subgenus Acanthomyops or are you saying it's in Lasius claviger? Also, on what do you base the ID?
