Unknown Arthropod - Female
Naples , Collier County, Florida, USA
March 4, 2015
Size: ~1mm
This white-bodied, winged arthropod was living in leaf litter beneath a sand live oak tree. When removed from the litter with a Berlese funnel, it and many of the other arthropods were encased in webbing. There were several web spinners in the sample, as well as spiders, both of which may have produced the webs. It appears that this specimen is carrying 3 offspring.
