Size: Approx 2-3 mm
Just wondering if this is a spider or mite? The body is kind of a bright red with light tan hairy legs

That was my second choice. :)

Anystidae
It is a whirligig mite (Anystidae). Ray Fisher will be able to put it into a subfamily though maybe not a genus, because it looks pretty young.
