Size: 60 mm
This large skimmer was hunting from a branch in a Cypress Swamp beside a large pond. I have not seen this species in the area this winter. Therefore, this individual may be quite recently emerged. Most of the other dragonflies near this individual were Pond Hawks and Twelve-Spotted Skimmers.
