Maccaffertium Smithae
Bold systems has Smithae in NC. Lewis 1974 b figure 52 is a match, and Lewis 1974 b figure 31 is acceptable to variation, figure 69 Bednarik and McCafferty 1979 also aligns with M smithae.

I would list the as Maccaffertium smithae.

Thanks,
The project sounds very interesting. Where will the finished book be available? If you need representatives of this or other species from the southeast U.S. I will happily send them your way.

sure
I am working with Dr L Jacobus at Purdue he is going to make the PDF files for the books and put them in the hand of all the very important people in the industry. Then I will be offering downloads of the books as PDF files at my website I am building right now just for Stenacron for a small fee. I wish I knew how to make a link active on this site but copy and paste this links in google to see a preview of the site. My domain name should be Stenacron-mayflies.com when I am done. And Yes if you are interested in collection and photographing I would love larva samples from your area. If you like send me a PM to my email to hook up.

I sent a message to your email and got a strange auto response, so I sent one to your Facebook messenger.

got ya
I got your email and replied need help chasing a GHOST. I want to collect larva that align with Dr Travers 1933 affine is from your area within 20 miles at the most from Ashville. The labrums of all Stenacron are distinct affine didn't make it to the DNA convention in 2012 and they have not been seen since 1935 except at the Cornell Collection. I need that larva to push for a DNA test on the larva. I believe it should be a species and a willing to fight for it to finish this on behalf of DR Traver.

I am able to rear but live larva would not be allow across the boarder, invasive species protocols on the behalf of both governments. Dead larva in alcohol as a present is different LOL.
