New to me...? - Acanthocephala femorata - Male
Tallassee, Elmore County, Alabama, USA
April 11, 2017
Looks like a large stink bug body with strong grasshopper type legs! It also flies. Found it sitting on my forsythia bush in the front yard. I cannot find a similar insect - any thoughts?

new to me?
Thank you so much for such a quick answer to my quandary! I lived in FL for 30 years before relocating to Alabama. Things outside are so different to what I am used to! Again - thank you so much! I love this website - my first experience. :)
