The plain coloring threw me a bit,
but he appears to be a male S. nitens. S. damnifica is in that area too, and can be colored very similarly to this (except for the pale area at the bottom sides of the pronotum). Usually has shorter wings and a slightly larger pronotum than this too.

which is fine, it shows two somewhat different angles. So, I've linked them together.

The meta-data attached to the photos shows that they were taken 3 minutes apart on March 20. Were they taken at Fredericksburg, Gillespie County, Texas, which is the location you have for that date?
