Unknown Catepillar -
Hyphantria cunea
Murphy, Collin County, Texas, USA
August 10, 2007
Size: ~1 inch
These started appearing everywhere in the last couple days. Are they something I need to keep my daughter away from (assuming eating isn't good, but do they sting?)?
Thanks!

Might be Hyphantria cunea,
but just too close to see. Do you have any additional images from farther away?

Not individual, but pretty sure same
This
is a further view taken the same day, but not the same individual (so I didn't put them under the same entry).
