Have fun. - Gymnopyge

Size: 7mm
So here's a bit of a mystery to me. This was found in a cactus flower. It resembles a couple of things, but doesn't seem to match any of them. Of particular interest to me are the emarginate clypeus and bifurcated tarsal claws. Found out in the middle of the Mojave desert. My only thoughts are something in Melonthini. I don't think it's Chnaunanthus or Acoma, but not sure what it could be Oncerus is out too I think.

Moved, Gymnopyge sp.
Moved from ID Request.

I was thinking Cremastocheilus,
when I first looked at it. What do the mouthparts look like?

Seems like normal moutparts:
Seems like normal moutparts: no scoop

Not Cremastocheilus then....
see why you are puzzled..
