Found in a basement apartment on a bed. Appears to be engorged with blood. Would appreciate confirmation that this is indeed Cimex lectularius.

It appears to be a bed bug. I do not see the characters that would make it a bat bug or swallow bug. I would recommend a professional pest control company... they can be difficult to get rid of. I would launder those sheets in hot water and vacuum any bugs you find in the meantime.
