Blackland Prairie habitat southeast of Manor, Travis County, Texas, USA

Det. M. A. Quinn, 2017

"Every once in a while [during a routine plant inventory on the Blackland Prairie southeast of Manor], we'd run into a couple hundred of these small (ca. 5 mm long?) but not tiny beetles covering what was left of the foliage of pink evening-primrose (Oenothera speciosa), although we also saw the beetle on the ground and on an annual croton (Croton) species." - Bill Carr, pers. comm. to MAQ, 2017
