bup #2 came to lights - Brachys aerosus
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
August 3, 2007
Size: est. 4 - 4.5 mm
I don't think I had every before had a buprestid show up at my MV or UV lights. Two species of Brachys came on this warm, humid night. This was the larger of the two. Apparently I forgot to get a shot alongside rule.

Brachys aerosus
I've seen a few buprestids at lights - not a common occurrence, but I did collect 150+ specimens of Agrilus cliftoni at lights over a several-week period a few years ago at a light I had setup in a mature white oak forest.

Thank you, Ted.
I would like to be collecting every day and hire three photographers to shoot and post images of everything. I'm just a winning lottery ticket away from doing exactly that :-)
