Dung Beetle - Onthophagus? - Canthon pilularius 'Little America' in Yellowstone National Park, Park County, Wyoming, USA April 20, 2017 Size: about 8 mm
I spent a fascinating 2 1/2 hours watching and photographing the dung beetle fly in to fresh bison dung, slowly built her ball, wait about half an hour for the ball to dry, roll the ball about 3 feet, and finally bury it!
If it is Onthophagus it will be the first Bug Guide photo for Wyoming.
