At approx. 6000' in elevation. These skittish Mydas flies emerge just a little earlier than Rhaphiomidas flies and long after Pseudonomoneura hirta flies in our area have disappeared for the season. Haven't seen one feed yet, but they appear to prefer resting on bitterbrush.
