large moth - Antheraea polyphemus - Female

Size: 6 inches across
this lovely creature fluttered by me when i was going out to get the mail around noon. it must have been disturbed and fluttered around like he was sick or at least groggy. i'd like to be able to identify him as soon as possible.

the above url will take you to the guide page for this moth--based on the guide i'd hazard a guess that you've got a female. The guide page doesn't have comparative photos of male v. female, but states females have less feathery, smaller antennae and also a larger body.
