Ventral view of the abdomen. Note the lack of black spots down the sides. That and the yellow foretibia are the only visual clues to separate P. flavidorsalis from Euchaetes helena. I discovered this difference when BOLD identified a specimen I sent in as P. flavidorsalis as Euchaetes helena. I have since tried to rear the caterpillars of E. helena, but I failed. The host for E. helena is unknown.
