Coecobrya tenebricosa
Eyes are absent.

Thanks Frans
I thought those tiny dots in the place where eyes usually are in springtails might have been actual eyes. Wow, what an interesting species.

Sinella binoculata
Thx for uploading the 2nd shot in which the ocelli are definitely visible (in the 1st shot I assumed the black spots on the head were dirt spots...). In which case tenebricosa is to be excluded. Best match now = Sinella binoculata. Which has 1+1 ocelli. And is a typical Californian species of Sinella.
