Found indoors. I thought Solenopsis ants have a more southern distribution, but tramp ant species can show up almost anywhere, after all. Would appreciate verification.

It was a mild winter, but fire ants are still a long way from living in Ontario. They are outdoor ants, not house ants, in any case. Note that the antenna is 12-segmented with three gradually increasing large segments apically. Solenopsis always have a 1-segmented antenna with a 2-segmented apical club.
Nice picture of the queen of this species.
