Moved from Long-horned Beetles.

After reviewing "Casey's conundrum", the only possibility in the east is S. terminatus. There are several larch and spruce in the immediate vicinity and it has been recorded in New Brunswick before. The other local species S. ligneus has significant amount of colour on the elytra, even in the melanistic individuals.
