the 'nice' part referred to this important addition, but..

...then i realized that triatomines in general are among the best behaved, easy to catch/handle reduviids; never in a hurry, never trying anything funny -- all dignity and good manners, in stark contrast to the restless, jerky, feisty bugs that constitute the majority of that family

still, love them all... over 30 reduviid spp. live in my backyard, incl. 3 spp. of Triatoma

It seems to be hairy.
I could be in the wrong direction, but I wonder if he could be Paratriatoma hirsuta (male).
How much (long) hair it has on his body, legs, antennae?
