I have no idea what these are. I do think that they are on Betula nigra.
I'd like an ID, please.

I have these aphids on my river birch. I don't know if it's same species or not though...

Some of the critters do look very much like aphids. I didn't see any ants tending them, but I did see a couple of Asian Lady Beetles and one larva!
I'll keep looking and see what else I can find on that small tree.
