Identification
Ant mimics. Some characters of genus (1):
long, narrow carapace
cephalothorax deeply indented, giving the impression of a separate head and thorax
female with front tarsus and tibia swollen, resembling those of a male to some extent
Range
S. culteri is known from Arizona and California (Mexico).(2)
S. hentzi is more widespread but its distribution is poorly known. (2)
