Assassin Bug With Prey - Wheel Bug (Arilus cristatus)? - Arilus cristatus

Looks like a juvenile Wheel Bug (Arilus cristatus) but it appears to be using a spider web/line to help hold onto its prey which is an unidentified caterpillar. (Are they capable of making a spider web-like line?)This was all taking place on an apple tree.

Wheel Bug nymph is correct
I expect that the silk was produced by the caterpillar.

Yes that makes perfect sense - it does look more like caterpillar silk. Thanks for the response.
