Black insect with bright orange/red thorax - possibly a bee?

Antennae are wrong for Argidae. Thinking something in this neighborhood:

Black-headed Ash Sawfly (Tethida barda)?
I agree it looks just like the thumbnail you provided - Black-headed Ash Sawfly (Tethida barda)....

It's certainly possible, but...
...there could be similar species, so we'll need to wait for an expert opinion.
